5 Tips to Playing Golf at a Better Pace from PGA Coach Andre Pillow
- Be on Time: Arrive at the course at least 20 minutes prior to your tee time. If you want to hit range balls or practice on the green, give yourself even more time.
- Know the Course Rules: Most scorecards and courses will have a timeline of how long you should be spending on each hole.
- Don't take too many practice swings: Taking too many practice swings only slows us down.
- Park your cart in the appropriate place: Avoid spending too much time walking back and forth from your cart to the ball.
- Be efficient at the turn: It's a great time to snag a snack or a cold drink, but don't spend too much time. Try ordering ahead while you're on the ninth hole so you can make an efficient turn.
