PGA Jr. League: 2022 Southwest PGA Section, PGA Jr. League Qualifier

Palm Valley Golf Course in Las Vegas recently hosted a Southwest PGA Junior League Section Qualifier for the 4th year in a row.
A total of 8 All-Star Teams from the Las Vegas Valley participated in the nine-hole, stroke play event.
Scoring and quality of play at the Southern Nevada Section Qualifier event improved significantly in 2022. In 2019, 105 (-3) was the winning score. This year, that score was good for only a 5th place finish.
The pair of qualifiers for the Southwest PGA Section Championship, which will take place August 20th and 21st at Antelope Hills in Arizona, were able to separate from the rest of the field.
DragonRidge Country Club in Henderson, Nevada shot an 87, or 21 under par, to win the qualifying event.
Canyon Gate Country Club in Las Vegas shot a 91, or 17 under par, to finish second and qualify for the 2022 Southwest PGA Section Championship.
