Taz Wilson to Attend KPMG Women’s PGA Championship as VIP Guest

Tazmerria Wilson (Taz), an 18-year-old from Statesboro, Georgia, was born with tibial
hemimelia - an extremely rare congenital limb deficiency characterized by a complete or partial absence of the fibula.

Prior to turning three, both of Wilson’s legs were amputated. Despite her condition, she is completely unfamiliar with the word “quit.” When Wilson took an interest in sports, her school therapist encouraged her to try golf. After a few swings, she was hooked.

Golf has since become a huge part of her life and has helped build her self-confidence. Wilson’s condition and love of golf made her an ideal candidate for a VIP Dream Experience. Her ultimate sports dream is to have full access to an LPGA event with the opportunity to meet fellow female golfers, whose influence could impact Wilson positively.

On Tuesday, June 21 Wilson’s dream will come true as she takes off for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Congressional Country Club just outside of Washington, D.C.

Wilson will experience private lessons with adaptive golf instructor, Gabriella Miller, PGA. Miller is the Coordinator for Player Development and Memberships at the University of Maryland GC in College Park, MD. While on site at the Major Championship, Taz will also enjoy 1:1 time with the LPGA's Marina Alex.
