Team Woods is BACK!
Tiger teased the world with his "Making progress" swing video on Nov. 21 and now it's official: Tiger & Charlie Woods will tee it up at the PNC Championship on Dec. 17 - 20. The tournament will be Tiger's first time competing since February.
“Although it’s been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the PNC Championship with my son Charlie,” Tiger tweeted. Woods made his first official appearance last week at the Hero World Challenge, hinting at a possible return but remaining candid about his recovery.
The PNC Championship is a team event that features 20 of golf's major champions partnered with a family member. In addition to Team Woods, the field is highlighted by multiple PGA Champions including Justin Thomas & his father Mike Thomas, PGA, Rich Beem & his son Michael, John Daly & his son John, Padraig Harrington & his son Paddy, Gary Player & his grandson Jordan, Vijay Singh & his son Qass, Lee Trevino & his son Daniel, Nick Price & his son Greg and KPMG Women's PGA Champion Nelly Korda & her dad Petr.
With such a stacked field, the excitement & drama of a team event and the return of Tiger, the PNC Championship is sure to be a must-watch.
