Four years in the making, the new, state-of-the-art “Home of the PGA of America” officially opened its doors at PGA Frisco in Texas.
Nearly 600 people were on hand for the Welcome Home Celebration on Monday and included PGA Professionals and PGA Associates from across the country, PGA Past Presidents, legendary Dallas-area sports figures, Frisco Independent School District leaders, students and coaches, and many friends and partners of the PGA of America.
Attendees had a chance to hear from both PGA of America President Jim Richerson, PGA and PGA CEO Seth Waugh, and enjoy the comprehensive Professional Development Center that included a large bunker, chipping and putting areas, along with indoor/outdoor hitting bays.
Beyond that, guests were treated to a reception on the fourth floor of the building with stunning views of the pair of Championship Courses. Attendees were also given an opportunity to pose for photos with the PGA of America’s Major Championship trophies and the Ryder Cup.
