Ernie Els #GameON Autism® Summer Golf Program

The New Jersey Golf Foundation supports the Ernie Els #GameON Autism® Golf Program, an innovative golf program specially tailored for individuals on the autism spectrum, encouraging participants to learn golf skills while practicing specific autism learning concepts including communication, emotional regulation, motor and social skills.

During this 5 week program, students with ASD, ages 12-18, will be able to gain a basic understanding of golf including, how to correctly hold a golf club, basic skills such as putting, chipping, and the full swing. The program also covers proper golf etiquette, course care and tips to better enjoy the game. Students will have the opportunity to practice, make new friends and have a PGA Professional provide tips to improve their swings.

Sessions (10 in total) will be held every Wednesday and Friday from 12-1pm at the Inspiration Golf Range located on the VA Campus in Lyons, NJ.

• The program will start on July 30th and conclude on August 29th.

• Snacks and drinks will be provided.

• Golf equipment will be provided, if needed.

• In the event of a cancellation, due to weather, participants will be contacted via email.

• Availability for this program is limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

• There is no fee to participate.
