Join PGA HOPE alongside your fellow Veterans and Servicemembers. PGA HOPE has served thousands of Veterans and Servicemembers across the United States through one of our 300+ locations.

This introductory program is designed to welcome those of all ages, branches and eras of service, genders, and abilities to the golf course and share in camaraderie and fun together as a group. During this session you will learn the basics from grip to 9 holes of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals.

- No golf equipment is required. If you do have clubs and/or any specialty equipment, please bring them with you.
- No prior golf experience necessary
- No VA disability rating required
- Veterans do not have to have combat or deployments in order to participate
- All expenses associated with PGA HOPE are covered

PGA HOPE Dahlgren - Session 2

The Gauntlet Jr League is known as the best program in the area!  Known for its size, in-house league, teaching program and enthusiastic instruction, it is by far the best way to get a young player excited about the game of golf.  The season begins with a couple of weeks of swing and on-course training.  Developmental and competitive matches will happen throughout the month of October.  Parents are encouraged to watch and cheer for their players; however we discourage any involvement of instruction during matches and practice.

### The PGA HOPE Program

The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught and led by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency and include clubs and equipment if needed, training aids, range balls and weekly golf course access. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans.

In this series hour supervised practices, learn to hone your skills the correct way by implementing proven practice techniques under the supervision of a PGA Professional. Your PGA Coach will set up and walk you through practice routines you can use to help bring your game to the next level.
**What's Included:**

- In your first Supervised Practice, your PGA Coach will work with you to establish a baseline of your skills.
- Subsequent lessons will consist of either repetitive block practices, encouraging new skill development, or a variable practice used to test and challenge your new skills on the course.
- Time will be spent on the driving range, chipping and putting areas, and on the golf course.
- Range balls are included.

PGA HOPE Supervised Practice

The Junior Coaching Program provides students with the opportunity to learn and practice advanced techniques, and to apply these skills on the course. It is ideal for competitive juniors who aspire to participate in tournaments or become part of their middle or high school teams. Each session includes 50 minutes of group instruction, followed by a mini-game or challenge to evaluate the students' abilities.

Class will meet at the far end of the driving range. You can drive or walk through the parking lot to arrive at our meeting spot.

Junior Coaching Program Ages 7-11

Welcome to Whiskey & Wedges!

Join your PGA Coach for an hour in a fun, stress-free environment focused on helping you improve your short game. In this social, community-based clinic, improve your short game with your friends (or make some new ones) and afterwards enjoy a quality adult beverage.

During this event, your PGA Coach will cover short game staples (chipping and short pitching). After the learning, a whiskey will be waiting for you in our clubhouse.

The fee includes instruction, course facility fee, range balls and one whiskey drink after the session.  Just bring an open mind and your wedges.

Supervised Practice

**Note: Participation in A Prep Clinic is NOT required for participation in free Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifier Events.**

We are excited to announce a Drive, Chip and Putt Prep Clinic at Shackamaxon Country Club. Join PGA Coach Chance Scheffing and staff as we help kids prepare to participate in Drive, Chip, and Putt.

Whether they're new to the game and entering Drive, Chip and Putt for the first time, or experienced players, Drive, Chip and Putt is a great way for junior golfers to get a bite-size taste of golf while measuring skills in three areas of golf’s main skills.

Drive, Chip and Putt is an excellent program for juniors of all levels as participants have an opportunity to advance through local, subregional and regional qualifying to earn a place in the national finals that are conducted at Augusta National Golf Club on the Sunday before The Masters Tournament.

Our Prep Clinic will be a great opportunity for juniors to test their skills and experience the Drive, Chip and Putt format before attempting to qualify at the local level.

Our program will be run just like the local qualifier with scorecards, scoreboards, tee times, etc. so juniors get comfortable with the experience.  In addition, coaching and instructions will be provided in the designated warm-up areas to assist juniors before or after the competition.

Attire:
Dress for the weather, but shorts, a golf shirt or nice T-shirt, cap and tennis shoes are appropriate for our clinic. And don’t forget sunscreen!

Equipment needed:
If you have golf clubs for your participant, please bring them. Otherwise, please contact us as a limited supply of loaner clubs are available.

_Minimum of 3 golfers, maximum of 6.  Register today!_

Wine & Wedges

- **Format**: 2-person scramble (team play).
- Tee yardages will be adjusted based on age and on-course experience.
- **No ride-along carts** are permitted for golfers or spectators. Push carts are encouraged.
- Parents are allowed to caddie and are required to for newer golfers.
- Players can register independently or join a team. Please contact Coach Matt if your junior golfer needs a teammate for the event!

**"Participants should have prior on-course experience and some understanding of key golf concepts. To ensure all golfers have time to complete their round, maximum stroke and time limits will be enforced for each hole.
